2 Full-time OHS Facilitator Coordinators
1 Term OHS Facilitator Coordinator (September 2018 – December 14, 2018)

The BC Federation of Labour Health & Safety Centre (the Centre) is seeking applicants to fill 3 positions as
Facilitator Coordinators. The ideal candidates will work as members of the staff team at the Centre, reporting
to the Executive Director. The Centre is funded by the Workers’ Compensation Board of BC (WCB).

Knowledge Skills and Experience:

  • Facilitating and developing Centre OH&S courses;
  • Working with Centre staff;
  • Assisting in the Centre’s marketing efforts; and
  • Assisting in the coordination of the Centre’s programs.


The successful candidate will possess:

  • Experience facilitating various OHS courses in subject areas including: OHS Committees, OHS Supervisor,
    Mental Health, Bullying and Harassment, Return to Work, Building a Psychologically Healthy
  • Course development experience;
  • Working knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Legislation in BC and Canada;
  • Knowledge of the BC Labour Movement;
  • Strong organizational and communication skills;
  • Ability to travel; and
  • Ability to use facilitation tools (PowerPoint, etc.)

Pay and compensation are determined by the Federation’s collective agreement.

  • OH&S Committee Education (experience in any of our OH&S course content)
  • Supervisor OH&S Responsibilities (experience in any of our Supervisor course content)
  • Return to Work (experience in any of our Return to Work course content)
  • Migrant Worker Program (Ability to speak fluently in an additional language. OH&S experience an asset)
  • English as an Additional Language (ESL) (TESL Certificate. OH&S experience an asset)
