Our Program
Young workers are at the front of the line when it comes to workplace vulnerability. One-third of reported workplace injuries are from young workers.
The Alive After Five Young Worker Awareness Program, delivered by the BC Federation of Labour’s Health and Safety Centre, works to make workplaces safer and healthier for young and new workers across British Columbia.
Since its launch in 2003, Alive After Five has reached more than 250,000 High school students and employment program participants in over 75 communities across the province.
Funded entirely through the Workers’ Compensation Board of BC (WorkSafeBC), the program provides free occupational health and safety presentations to high schools and employment programs throughout BC.
Our presentations are engaging, interactive, and designed to give young and new workers the knowledge and confidence they need to stay safe at work.

On-Site Workshops
We offer free both in-person and virtual/online workshops. In person sessions are held at your school or employment program location.
