Participant Requirements for In-person Public (open enrollment) Classes

We are happy to be welcoming you to the resumption of in-person workshops at the BCFED Health & Safety Centre.

The Centre is working hard to make our public in-person classrooms safer learning spaces during the pandemic. This means taking precautions, including ensuring everyone inside our in-person public classroom settings adhering to vaccination, follow masking requirements and practice physical distancing, while ensuring safe alternatives are available to all.

As a result of risk assessments done for in-class activities, we have taken safety measures to protect our participants and staff:

  • Mandatory vaccination policy for all course participants and course facilitator
  • Classroom set up to allow physical distancing
  • Mask protocol whenever participants are not seated
  • Participant checks for pre-entry wellness confirmation
  • Restructured group learning activities to allow physical distancing
  • Eliminated the need for the use of shared class materials
  • Supplied readily available hand sanitizer and other hygiene precautions

What should I expect when I arrive at the course?
Everyone entering the classroom space will have their vaccination status checked by the Centre facilitator delivering your course. Please arrive between 8:00 and 8:30. The Centre will not document, record, or store information regarding your personal vaccination status.

You’ll need to bring:
- A valid government photo ID and
- Your digital BC Vaccine Card on your phone or device, or your paper BC Vaccine Card.

Please note: We are unable to accept other vaccine records or other health documents.

Your facilitator will perform a visual verification of your card, and make sure the name matches the name on your government issued photo ID. Accepted ID includes your BC Services Card, BC driver’s license or Passport.
